What the lookup shows, and what it does not

The free lookup reads one filing and sets it against the median of its NTEE group in its state (or nationally when the state cell is thin). It shows no peer names and no percentile. The paid report builds a real peer group: same 3-character NTEE code, revenue between half and twice yours, your state first, then your census region, then national, and names the 10 closest with their title, pay, split, reserves and a link to each filing. Percentiles are your position in that full pool.

USD 49 one-time: your organization vs the 10 closest named peers on top officer pay, expense split, reserves and revenue mix, with a filing link per peer; USD 79 adds the one-page comparability data sheet for the board file. Checkout opens shortly; the free lookup and pages work meanwhile.

Questions

Is this the official filing data? The source is the public Form 990 / 990-EZ e-file releases and the Exempt Organizations Business Master File. We are not affiliated with the IRS; every peer row links to the same filing on ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer.

Why no names of people? Pay is shown by title only (Executive Director, CEO, President). The data set never stores a person's name.

Who is covered? Organizations that e-filed a Form 990 or 990-EZ in 2025 or 2026 (fiscal years ending 2022-2025). 990-N postcard filers (under USD 50k gross receipts) and 990-PF private foundations are not in the set.
